Can't sleep tonight

Can't sleep, been thinking about the merger. Received so many emails from my friends back in Toronto still trying to cope with the fact, apparently it takes some time for the news to sink in and for everyone to notice what huge impact it will cause. My boss cancelled his flight to SH, and our trip to Japan later... I will be back to Toronto end of Sept to look at the reorg and realign the team's mandate here in SH. My colleages at the SH office were shocked to hear about the news, and I kinda feel sorry for them (they don't have much exposure to what will happen as we were told to be tight lipped), the locals and I really started to bond as I am getting closer in understanding what they are going through here. I should be happy to be back to Toronto, but I know it's going to be like tornato season in the office, and i'm somewhat worried about the local team and my assignment to China. Oh well, I'll still stick to my belief that 'the universe works in mysterious ways, it's never easy; but it's always right and there's always something that you can learn from it' (B5). Oh yeah, it was Chinese valentines' day yesterday but since I still haven't found my goddess yet, so it wasn't anything special for me at all... And even worst? Nature has somehow found a way of rubbing it in for me - they literally 'made' another Chinese valentines' day next month (apparently some strange constellation thing so we kinda have 2x Julys this year according to the Chinese calender; hence, two Valentines day). Bah.

Hum...I never thought the merger could affect your company so much that it seems like a big nightmare to u guys. As far as I can see, the merger shouldnt be a bad thing, unless AMD gets into big trouble in the near future. So, good luck man!

Sometimes we really can't do anything but to do your own part. Let the rest take care of itself la. It's too much for one little chubby man named Mun to put on his back, so why give yourself the burden? As long as you can tell yourself you did what you can given this situation, then I think it's sufficient :) Oh and I noticed alot of simplified chinese on ur msn name -__- you're mutating to a shanghai-fob now... I'm sure you now have an "R" accent along with your exisiting "bay-sick-co-lee' accent

awww why so sad?? I know someone that loves you ^_^ *cough* dino *cough* I think I need to make a dino-card-board to give you support kisses!!! muahahahha

it's the uncertainty that's bothering you. Once the dust settle, you will start to feel better. The fear of unknown is built into the human DNA. Most human don't like change, specailly those that seems like you have no control over. But since you have no control over it, worrying/thinking about it won't change a thing. Be happy!

Thanks for everyones support and words of encouragement :)

Yeah, I guess it doesn't do me any good even if I worry over it - so I'll just do what I can.

Pholly, ha ha... Dino attack from such a far away place? Dun worry, once i'm back in TO, the TT catalyst will be back at work and uncle/auntie will ask about them once more >;)
